Ma Petite Francine is a brilliant, ‘nouveau’ take on a single vineyard Cabernet Franc by Gary Mills, famous in the Victorian modern wine scene. Sourced from the Coldstream Hills region in the Yarra Valley, Francine is made in a very approachable, drink now style. Carbonic maceration and whole bunch pressing, techniques most famously utilised in Beaujolais winemaking, works perfectly with the aromatics of Cab Franc, accentuating the herbal, funky characters alongside the perky fruit.
